waiting for daddy

It’s always a bummer when daddy has to go to work but the best part of my day, is waiting for him to come home. Sometimes mom likes to join me at the stairs as we look out the back window waiting for his arrival.

When he comes into the house, I make sure to greet him with lots of hugs and kisses. We spend a good ten minutes catching up by the door before we head upstairs.

I ❤ my daddy!

another year goes by…

A year ago today, Keith and I arrived in Seattle to start the next chapter in our lives. What a year it has been – moved, bought a house and got married. We were waiting to post this news but my birthday wish has already come true…baby Carpenter will arrive this Thanksgiving. I’m truly blessed for my one-of-a-kind husband, loving family and the best friends a girl could ask for.

P.S. For my birthday this year, Keith surprised me with dinner at Canlis. What an amazing experience – though I wish I could have eaten more of the food selections. Well I guess that just means I’ll have to go back when I’m not pregnant. 😉

it’s that time of year again…

Yep, time for baseball!

I’ve always liked baseball but after being with Keith so long, I’ve accepted the fact that it will always be a huge part of our lives. It’s by far Keith’s favorite sport. He loves everything about it and has even been the commissioner of his fantasy baseball league for 12 years! Even though Keith gets so consumed by the game during the season, I enjoy seeing the joy and raw emotion it brings out of him when he’s watching. I know someday he will pass his love for the game on to our kids, which is fine by me. 🙂

sleepless in seattle

Most days, I lounge around the house while mom and dad work. Not gonna lie, there’s not a lot of fun things I can do except play with my toys. At some point, I usually find myself falling asleep on the living room couch or on my mat. My favorite napping spot by far is the couch, specifically the right side cushion near the window – it’s so comfortable there!
